Conservation Efforts
These conservation efforts are being considered for use in Victory Green's development.
- Plantings of native and adaptive species in the park areas
Water Conservation
Canadians use approximately 340 litres of potable water per person per day- twice the amount of Europeans. Toilet flushing alone uses the most water in buildings, accounting for approximately 4.8 billion litres per day.
Victory green will be considering things such as:
- The Kohler Kelston Eco-Smart Toilet. It uses Class Five™ EcoSmart™ flushing technology and meets strict flushing performance guidelines established by the Environmental Protection AgencyWaterSense program. WaterSense labeled toilets use at least 20% less water than standard 1.6-gallon toilets.
- The Kohler Master Shower Eco-Friendly shower head is the first true performance shower head for the green-build market, providing LEED compliance with 20% reduction in water consumption without sacrificing shower performance.
